Atlantic Precision Spring produces precision flat springs and metal clips from thicknesses of 003" (.076 mm) to .125" (3.175 mm), and up to 12.00" (304.8mm) wide depending on the intricacy of the part. Atlantic Precision Spring is a flat spring manufacturer that insures a competitive quote due to our arsenal of manufacturing processes. These options include fourslide tools, multi-slide tools, progressive diesets, secondary tooling or a combination of these methods. Atlantic Precision Spring produces high-volume production runs from an assortment of different size fourslide machines and power press machines ranging up to 100 tons. These machines manufacture flat springs for many different uses, including: electronic connectors, metal spring clips, sensor components, circuit board contacts, small leaf spring, and PC board battery contacts. All of our flat springs can be short run prototyped in our secondary department.

Quality Assurance is supported by several processes including a networked Statistical Process Control “spc” that is used to ensure the quality of precision flat springs. Electronic sensors in progressive diesets and fourslide tools are used to detect defects in formed spring clips during the production run. Sensors such as Vision Systems with inline machine sensors are also available to inspect formed springs, to identify defects and prevent out-of-tolerance metal clips. Atlantic Precision Spring is a manufacturer of flat springs, which can be fabricated out of a wide variety of materials including; Aluminum, High and Low Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel Metal, Beryllium Copper, Brass, Nickel, and all type of Bimetal...in all Grades and Tempers.

We use a flat spring design program that can select the optimal material, thicknesses and temper for your application before creating a prototype. Eliminating costly time to market for your product. Customers can expect rapid turnaround on metal clip quotes, prototypes and large volume production runs. We draw upon our years of experience in design and development services for a variety of related components, ranging from micro-miniature flat spring to large intricate flat springs. Our well-maintained fourslide machines are able to keep precision spring clips to tolerance requirements due to a vigorous maintenance schedule for our machines and fourslide tools. All fourslide tooling, progressive diesets and secondary tools are designed with 3D software and built using in-house CNC and wire EDM machines by our own tool and die journeymen. The features of fourslide machines often prove economical in the production of intricate flat springs. Eliminating the carrying tab and utilizing all of the material can reduce material costs. Also Fourslide tools are faster to build, which leads to substantially reducing tooling costs. Some complex forming operations that cannot be completed on a power press without expensive tooling or secondary operations can be formed easily on a fourslide machine.
